Throughout the years, the League has grown in membership from ten to forty three schools. Enthusiasm and commitment to the contest idea spread quickly. This meeting was viewed as an experiment to determine the advisability of this type of academic competition for the age levels of students in grades 7 through 9. The RISE network is a distance learning network that is seeking retired certified teachers or individuals who no longer teach full time who would like to still teach at a part-time level. Time of course taught is TBD based on the schedule of the requesting district. Teacher will provide remote instruction to students at a district in the RISE network using RISE room technology. This is a distance learning teaching position that can be done from home through distance learning equipment or at a local school district with appropriate technology. Part-time teaching position providing instruction in qualified teaching area. The Rural Illinois Shared Education (RISE) Network was formed to primarily serve rural, and low-income areas of Illinois. In 2017, the Academy expanded to additional locations in El Dorado Hills and Lincoln. The charter school was founded in 2010 and opened its first campus in Roseville in 2011. Students enjoy a classical liberal arts curriculum encompassing history, English, math, visual and performing arts, laboratory science, foreign language, physical education, and college preparatory electives. They are preparing future leaders and statesmen through principle-based education centered in classics and great mentors. They have three locations: El Dorado Hills, Lincoln, and Roseville.
